Easiest way to clean up itunes library and playlists

The easiest way I have found to clean up itunes (in my opinion) is *delete* and *add back*. From that post:

After you’re done deleting music, go to iTunes and clear the entire
library (without trashing the associated files). Then just "Add to
Library" the folders where your music resides.
